Stone is done

The stone got done right on schedule.  We then had a bit of a dilemma in choosing out the stucco color.  The color was settled on yesterday, so stucco should be done relatively soon.

Sheet rock well underway on Wednesday.  All the board was put up by Thursday and the inspector came through and approved it.

As of Friday the taping was started.  They continued working on it today (Saturday).  Looks like they are not quite done yet.

Adri is trying to pick out flooring and paint colors.

Progress!!

Finally, something to report.  After months of doing electrical and plumbing work, it was finally finished last week.  I got the electrical all done on my own.  Most of the plumbing drains I did were fine (the white PVC pipe), but I ended up hiring a guy who basically redid all the plumbing supply (water under pressure).  He also did the gas lines, and corrected a few mistakes I'd made on the PVC.  Just today I got my framing inspection signed off on. No more nails!!  No more PVC cement!! 

Tomorrow the insulation guys are coming to start on insulation.  In 3 days we could have the sheet rock guys show up and start putting up interior walls.  They estimate that will take ~4 weeks. 

In a convergence of things getting done, they also finally came and put on the brown coat of stucco.  Our cultured stone also showed up and that guy started putting it up.  He estimates another 2 or 3 days to complete that.  Adri loves it.  Here are a couple of pictures.

Stone will also go on around the garage doors, and on the 3 front columns.  By Monday the entire outside could be done (stone and stucco).  If we cane pick out the stucco color he will put in on over the weekend.  Then the roof can be finished!

Then it will be paint, flooring, cabinets, finish work.... Lots left to do.
