Cort 7 weeks

Cort is 7 weeks old. He has been a little sick the last week but it hasn't been too bad and he has still slept just fine. He is not sleeping through the night - once he gets over being sick we will start working on that. He is really starting to smile and have some facial expressions. It is always fun when they start recognizing you instead of staring right past you.
He looks a little shocked in this picture - but to take a good picture of a baby is almost impossible. They are always moving and making weird faces. He really does LOVE the bath, and all the boys love to come watch him take a bath because he always pees and makes a big rainbow fountain and they laugh and laugh! My life with boys :)

Kade's class has been working on animal reports for the last few weeks. Most of the research and work on the projects was done at school, they only had to do a creative project at home. I found this cool paper cheetah for him to make online. He cut out all the parts and there are instructions on how to fold the tabs and glue it all together. I helped him glue the tabs on some because they got pretty small. Here is the finished Cheetah project - Kade's animal fair is on Thurs. for all the parents to come see.

Baptism/Blessing Date

After going back to church yesterday and talking with the Bishopric we have decided to have the baptism/blessing on June 4th. I'm sorry if that is inconvenient for anyone - it is hard to try and schedule where everyone can be there. So hopefully that works and if you can't come that is OK.
Kade's baptism will be at noon on Saturday and Cort's blessing will be right after the baptism. Then we will have a luncheon here at our house. The weather should be nice and all the kids can play outside. :) We haven't planned the program yet - Kade is the only one from our ward being baptised so we get to plan the whole program. I am going to let him choose who he wants to give the talks - so heads up!

Ensign Article

This Sunday we had a lesson on the Word of Wisdom. As part of our lesson the instructor read from the following Ensign article.

If you actually have a copy lying around you may want to take a look. There was some graphic photos of bone density.

More photos

the stream at the end of our hike

Another waterfall crossing

Some brave souls crossing the stream

KAUAI

This is the NaPali coast. Check out the color of the ocean. This coast was amazing.
More coast line, we hiked along the coast for two miles into a stream we were going to cross, and continue hiking to a waterfall. but the stream was very swollen and fast, more a river than a stream. The water would have come to my neck. We watched a lady slip. lose her glasses, get
caught in the rope and come close to being swept away. I decided I would live to play another day.

The trail was very muddy and it rained off and on. Hence, the drowned rat look.

We bought a new camera and were still learning how to use it. This is the first waterfall we crossed, there were a couple more. It was fun, fun!

Do you see King Kong?

Cort at 5 weeks

Here is a recent picture of Cort and Ty. Ty's neck is healing really nicely - the scar goes from one side to the other but hopefully will fade with age. Cort is 5 weeks old and doing great. He is really starting to fill out and get chubby - which I LOVE!!!

Funny

Charlotte gets cuter every day, but she also get a little bit feistier. She and Riley have a lot in common.
In the car today:

Charlotte: "Grandpa is my boyfriend."
Macie: "I have twenty hundred boyfriends.
All the boys at school that want to play with me...
Uncle Keith...
Justin Beiber...
And lots more that I don't know their names."
