No Shame

This is a mumbo-jumbo blog. I need to tell different people different things. You may need to censor before reading to any small children.
Kim, HELLO!! Why didn't you say something to me when your so called so comfortable breast thingys went concave at the blessing!? since you had given them to me I was wearing them WITH the hard plastic shell they came on. NOwhere on the directions did it say to remove them from this hard plastic shell thingy. I, therefor, was actually forcing that hard stuff to turn inside out, depressing it (just like on the directions) and wearing them. I couldnt figure why you thought they were so great - they caused me a great deal of pain. After the blessing and the concave incident I put them away in my closet. Not until a week ago when my old roomate was visiting and wanted to see them out of curiosity, was it pointed out that I am an idiot. She immediately wondered if I wasn't supposed to REMOVE them from the hard plastic. We had a good laugh and they have been much more comfartable since. :) no joke.

Macie has had a fever since Monday. It was 100 on Monday so we went to the doctor. They couldn't see anything so he sent us home and told me to watch it. On WEdnesday it was 101.9 so we went back. They did a chest x-ray and blood and urine tests. Nothing came up so he sent us home again. She was 101 this morning, but down to 99.6 this evening. Hopefully it clears up by tomorrow. It has been scarry. She has slept for the past three days, which has been fun for me because she has been so cuddly. It hasn't been fun for Riley, as we haven't left the house. She is getting violent again. I made Todd take her to the stake pioneer party this evening. She won a gold fish...we may have a very dissapointing morning. Riley started wearing panties last week when we ran out of diapers. I told her we couldn't buy anymore. She immediately started going on the potty. WE've never had a poopy accident, and besides two incidents at grandma's house, it has been really successful.

OK, if you are still reading I am impressed. Kylie, I still haven't done my hair. I am the queen of proscratination, so I am still holding out for you. Any plans on coming up any time soon? Let me know. It has been really hot lately - great for skiing :)

Bill's bbq

Morgan and myself and Grandma went to Coalville yesterday to Bill's ward. Uncle John was the featured speaker for Pioneer Day. He is recovering from knee surgery and was a little shakey , but he did a fine job! It was a great meeting. There is nothing like small town Mormonville. we went to Bill;s and ate and visited with everyone. Sara is looking great, she says she is miserable, but she is not very big. The babies are now 4 1/2 lbs. each. she has about 8 weeks left. Marianne was not there but the talk is that Bill and possibly Susie will go to China with them to pick up the baby girl in Oct. Susie and Justin are moving to Utah in August. You should be getting an invite to Zach's homecoming, it is next Sunday at 9am. We are going down on Sat to stay in Provo so we can make it/. Morgan and I leave for Girl's Camp tomorrow until Friday.

Lightning McQueen!

Here are the boys in their new Lightning McQeen boxers I brought them back from San Diego. They love them! I had a nice trip down there visiting my mom. We did a lot of shopping and went to movies - The Devil wears Prada is very cute! I really liked it and we also saw You, Me and Dupree. Pretty crude - not my moms favorite but I really liked it! Thanks Pat and Dale and Morgan for letting my boys all come up to your house for the weekend. They said they had a really fun time. Thanks Morgan for all the babysitting - everytime I called you were babysitting. Thanks! Val - I may have found a solution to your door/window treatment problem. In the Sky Mall magazine there was this stuff (kind of like contact paper?) that you stick on your window in your door or the window next to your door that make it look like the glass is frosted or something - it is kind of hard to explain - but it didn't look bad and you couldn't see in. I took the magazine and have it here, I think you can also look on skymall.com I will post more information about it if you are interested. It was only $9.99 but I am not sure how much you get for that. But they said you cut it to the size of your window and them just stick it on.

Lagoon Day

Mom, Dad and Morgan (and anyone else interested). Buffy said that you might be interested in going to Lagoon with us on August 5th. Through my work, I could get discounted tickets, although the discount isn't that great. $26.63 for adult all-day passes, and $22.37 for toddlers under 4. My work will have a buffett lunch, $38.44 for adult pass with lunch, and $22.37 for toddler with lunch (same). I hear that there is a Subway and an Arby's in the park, I'm sure you could eat for less than $12, but not positive. Parking is $7. Anyone and everyone that wants to go with us, let me know by next friday the 28th, so I can order the tickets. Thanks.

It has become fairly well publisized that I am internet-free at our new apartment. I have taken the new surplus of time and applied it to reading and practicing typing. I question whether anyone really types faster than 65 WPM for an extended period of time. I can type forever with a good rythem at about 50-58 WPM with 95+% accuracy. I can also speed type for short bursts at really fast speeds up to 80 WPM, but it requires both alot of energy and alot of concentration. I bought a program for 10 dollars that is supposed to teach me how to type, but it determined that I knew all of the letters and punctuation just fine and tried to teach me all of the useless symbols ($%^&*) for a couple hours, so I gave up on it. The half a second it takes me to look down and find "*" once every hundred pages of text or so can't be what is holding back my speed. Not knowing how to spell seems like a larger concern for lawyer school.

I registered for my first semester ot BYU Law. Torts, Property, Civil Procedure, and Legal Research and Writing. Also a lecture series that is half a credit and just an hour a week that is supposed to help in deciding what fields or careers interest you. The most surprising thing about law school so far is that it appears to be a very tight-knit niche of people. I am scheduled to go to a prof's house for dinner one night, different clubs have invited us to a BBQ each weekend for like the first two months of school, and I am going to be a assigned to and introduced to a personal mentor who is an Alumni who practices law. I guess with a class size of 140 people or so it is bound to be pretty cozy. Considering I took some GE classes at BYU that had 1000+ students in a single section, this could be quite different. Well, Time is short. Tough luck with the sprinklers, Val. We weren't in over our heads. Give us another week, and it is done.

Waterfall Canyon in Ogden

We went on a hike up waterfall canyon in Ogden last week. Fun quick hike. We packed the kids on our backs most of the way, but still good to get out of the heat. Kade did real good on the way up, notice the extremely red face, then I had him on my shoulders the whole way down. Buffy is headed to San Diego this weekend to see her mom, who is at the doctor there by herself for a few days. I will be with the kids here in Clearfield, so if anyone is in the general area please stop by and we can go to McDonald's together. I think we'll be there alot this weekend.

Also home, and other ravings

I also returned home safely. I spent 4 hours waiting in the airport (on standby), then nearly 2 hours riding 3 different busses to get home. I figure I could have driven from Bountiful and it would have only taken an additional hour. Adri and the kids will be in Bountiful till about the 24th.

On Monday we all went to see Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest. A more appropriate title might have been Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Story. If you haven't already been to see this movie I would strongly reccomend waiting till it's at the dollar theater, or just rent it. After 2 1/2 hours I realized I'd been watching a movie about an apparently gay pirate and I didn't care one bit who lived or who died. It's not really a terrible movie, there's lots of action, and I think I almost laughed once, but the story is pointless, the villians are disgusting, and how many pirates does the Cracken need to kill anyway?

Back Home

We made it back to Daly City with no problems. Back to work this Thursday.

someone left a pair of sunglasses at our house i think the brand is sermon 3. There brown oversized glasses with a 3 on the side. We found them on the front hutch. If any one is missing them post back.

Good or Bad News(?)

First of all I would like to thank everyone for spending their holiday laboring in our yard. I am really impressed that you guys were willing to help so much. It made us feel very loved...But, and I am not sure if this is good or bad news, we are hiring someone to finish the job. We just realized that we wouldn't get it finished until Christmas, and we found someone who will finish it next week. So, in the log run we learned that you guys are very generous and hard working, but that sometimes you have to admit when you are in over your head. We are. Todd NEVER stresses about anything, but Wednesday night he was so grumpy that I had to put him in time out and tell him to go to bed. I started calling the pros the next day :)
ANyway, we are sad that we missed the mile. Next year you had better be ready for us! We won't make anyone slave for us next year. Promise. It was great to see and spend time with you all. Thanks again - Val and Todd

Thanks for the weekend

We had a fun time this weekend with everyone. We love the M2 shirts - thanks Pat and Dale for doing those- we think they are great! We also liked doing the run - it was good and helped to keep us exercising. We are thinking about spending the weekend of the 24th in Idaho Falls we have had some change of plans for that weekend and will be up on Thursday evening the 20th for my sisters baby shower in Rexburg and are thinking of maybe spending Friday and Saturday in Idaho Falls. So if anyone else is around or wants to come up that weekend we will probably be in Idaho Falls, if Pat and Dale are going to be around.
