Ty was so excited for his birthday. A little bit before his bedtime the night before he said, "Well I better go to bed so you can start decorating for my birthday!" No pressure for me :) (I don't know why this is underlined, but I can't figure out how to fix it - sorry)
The air hockey table is a big hit! I found it on KSL for $20.00 It is medium sized - but perfect for the boys.
Oops.. I didn't fix the red eyes before I posted. He asked for a soccer ball and net and was excited to get it.
His new purple shirt was a big hit. Everyone who saw it told him they liked his shirt - of course that made him smile. Thanks for the presents Pat and Dale - he LOVES the book and thinks the poems are so silly. :)
For his birthday dinner we went to Cracker Barrel. I picked the restaurant and everyone was a little skeptical, especially when we got there and everyone was over 60 :) I had only been there once in Albuquerque,NM. It is an old time restaurant with an old time store in the front. We all loved it and the prices are pretty good and you get TONS of food! Ty LOVED the little game with the golf tees they leave on your table to play while you wait for your food. He was obsessed and played it over and over even while we eat. He got down to where he only had 2 tees left a couple of times. Because it was his birthday he got a free dessert and got a big piece of chocolate Coca-Cola cake and a scoop of ice cream. You really don't feel too bad after eating out there because more than 1/2 your plate is your sides of vegetables. Today the kids were telling their friends all about this old time restaurant we went to. It was funny to hear them talking about it.
After a busy morning of basketball games today - we took the kids sledding/snowboarding. There wasn't a lot of snow - but enough to work, and it was so sunny and nice, it was awesome to be outside. We borrowed our friends 2 snowboard sleds and we have Trent's snowboard. All the kids rode them and loved it. Hopefully this helps Kade want to go again.
Zack and the snowboard sled

Cort loved touching the snow. I rode down on the sled with him a couple times. The hills were pretty small and not very steep.
Rich, getting Kade all set on the snowboard.

Ty snowboarding down the hill. Next year, Ty will start snowboarding too, hopefully Kade will join him. :)
